Welcome to the Sustainability Series
Every First Tuesday: Wynkoop Brewery - 6pm

September 7th - Boulder County Presents EECBG Better Buildings Program
Ann Livingston and Susie Strife
Boulder County, in partnership with the City and County of Denver, Garfield County, the Governor’s Energy Office, Xcel Energy and others, received $25 million in federal stimulus grants through the U.S. Department of Energy’s BetterBuildings Initiative.  Under this Initiative, Boulder County will work collaboratively to promote large-scale retrofits and make energy efficiency resources accessible to homeowners and businesses across the country. The goals of the program are to stimulate local economic growth and investment in our region, and to advance the state of Colorado’s energy independence through large-scale retrofits in the neighborhoods and business districts in Boulder County.

October 5th - Water for People: Ned Breslin, Executive Director
Water For People wants communities to celebrate not just a new pump, but a pump that has lasted 20 years.  We bring people, communities, local entrepreneurs and local government together so that solutions last.  Our methods may vary, but in each location water flows, toilets are used, infrastructure is eventually replaced using local resources, and communities no longer need NGOs or charities to raise themselves out of poverty.

The Sustainability Series is a monthly networking forum for the public to learn and discuss how local Front Range universities, business, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental agencies have incorporated and defined sustainability in innovative and progressive ways.
